Ello all ,

All of a sudden, about a week, the little battery icon on the bottom right of the screen has a RED x through it and when I ROLL over it with my mouse it says fully charged consider replacing your battery.

Its an HP Pavillion dv6

I've owned several laptops and never seen this. Its not that old and I don't leave it plugged in 24/7 and CONDITION it regulary just wondering , why?Charge it up, then run a test to see how long it stays on.

If you think the battery is OK, then do the calibration thing.
It is somewhere in the documentation.

The thing that says your battery is low has to be calibrated to the battery your are USING. If the battery is just a faction of a volt below the trip level of the thing, it says your battery is low.TYVM I will give that a try. Quote from: MP1975 on December 08, 2010, 06:40:28 PM
