Answer» My post is based on the following laptop computer:
Compaq Armada 1573DM
OPERATING SYSTEM: WINDOWS 98 SE
PROCESOR : 233 MHZ processor
RAM : 64 MEGS
PORTS : 1 USB, 2 TYPE2 PCMCIA, 56K MODEM, 1 PS2 PORT, INFRARED PORT, 1 PARALLEL, , ONE MONITOR PORT
ONE CD ROM DRIVE
ONE FLOPPY DRIVE
My problem is this:
I turned on the pc and it didn't boot. All the lights turn on (power light, hard disk light, caps lock light, number lock light, scroll lock light) then it beeps four times (2 long beeps one short beep and one long beep).
I also noticed that the monitor does not show anything.
It does not boot to windows. After i turn in on and the lights come on, it beeps and THATS all it does.
Does anyone know why it has stopped booting?its your graphics the beeps confirm that too fix it youll need a whole new MOTHERBOARD its just not worth it
