Answer» There are more torrent sites that ever. LEGAL NOTICEDo you agree? Don't care? Any comments? Quote DOWNLOADING OR SHARING COPYRIGHTED CONTENT WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION IS ILLEGAL. Yep. It is against the law.About time.wait.... wut? copying copyrighted software that you didn't pay for is illegal? when did this happen!?!the original counter-argument was that the program itself didn't do ANYTHING illegal, it was just used for illegal purposes. And in that sense they had a good point; Weapon manufacturers aren't held responsible for what the owners of their products do. On the other hand, there are people that think they should. So it's not really that much different. LimeWire, to my understanding, and much like the other crappy P2P programs, really just LET you share files. There is absolutely nothing wrong with sharing files, no matter what anybody says; the catch point is of course when said files are, say ISO's of popular games or MP3's and so forth, which fall under copyright claims. Although Limewire was used ALMOST exclusively for this purpose, it won't change anything. If you take the gun away from a criminal, they will just go find another one. There are still countless other options for P2P aside from Limewire. Torrents, for example, which have a large base of perfectly legal uses. (Linux distros are often distributed through torrents; as are all the videos that you can get from TASVideos.org; and any number of other uses where large file downloads are needed. OH! Now I get it. If I sell cheap guns to criminals.... I am violating the Copyright law! Therefor any murder omitted with a not legal gun... Is also a violation of the Copyright Law! |
