Answer» I got a cordless mouse [iBall CDS 243] from a friend of mine. Actually it is a diskette and consisted of a keyboard as well as a mouse. But I got only the mouse and its usb receiver[2.4GHz]. It is supposed to be a plug and play device. My 6 year old son took the receiver and lost it. I got a new receiver but it never worked. When I asked the support they told that one receiver would work only with its pair [which I lost]. Is there any way to make the usb receiver [same company, same model but serial number different] accept my old mouse?[I made sure the receiver is working as I plugged it in it installed successfully] I mean is there any way to pair my old mouse with the new receiver? Press & hold for 1 or 2 seconds reset button on underside of mouse or keyboard (may need paper clip or point of pencil) You may see an LED light on the receiver go from flashing to steady or vice versa or change flash rate as you do these steps. I THINK its just a plug and play device as it does not have any "special" buttons except on/off. Maybe I need to EDIT the installed driver and match string containing the serial number of the receiver with that of my mouse so that both are paired. It's only a guess.
