trying in vain to connect olevia monitor to dell inspiron--bought a "standard" to "mini" hdmi cable -- standard works great in back of monitor but mini side won't go in cpu. what should i buy? thx.What sort of graphics connector do you have on your pc? Does the monitor have a matching connector? If so, that would be the way to go. right now i have a very substandard cable--KEEP getting a message that my computer has an integrated video card and to unplug this cable. i'm an idiot and don't know how to figure out info to tell you....pc seems to have scsi outlets (2) and the LARGER one which it doesn't like me to use--also several usb ports. thanx so much for replying--it's a desktop dell inspiron 530--monitor is an olevia 232-S12 LCD HDTV.Where was your montor purchased? I'm not finding that model on the company's US WEBSITE. I did find a general manual for the S series.

The only connectors your Dell and Olevia seem to have in common is VGA.
