Answer» Hello,
I have a computer is an HP, when I boot it up it, the monitor is BLANK it won't show anything. Could it be the Video Card? Any ideas?
Thank You for you Help.http://Does that monitor work on other computers? Check all connections if that is true. Do you have a spare card to test with?
I assume it used to work, so what has happened between then and now? The PSU could have problems or it could be a video card, or a CONFIGURATION issue, but we would need some history on, and particulars of, the machine.Yes. Or it could be the monitor or the motherboard. Is there a flashing white cursor on the monitor, or is it completely black?
Check the obvious: Is the monitor plugged in? Have you pressed the power BUTTON on the monitor? Have you tried to adjust the brightness on the monitor?
Check to see if your computer show any signs of life: Do you hear the fans and hard drive spinning inside the computer case?
Do you have another monitor you can TRY?
I have tried with another monitor and it does not work.
The hard drives are spinning, it has life, i might have to change to another video card.
Should I change the PSU?

Thank you Friends. Right. Next step: Remove and reseat the video card. If that does not work, try a known-good video card.
