Hello gents, I have a question. Is this a good cpu: AMD x2 3800 dual core processor

I would say it is a decent CPU... bit LACKING on the cashe memory (512k per core, if memory serves correct.) Yes.

But not the best.If you want advice on a new CPU, we need your budget, system specs, and motherboard.

As it is, the ATHLON X2 3800+ is a good CPU, but DEFINITELY not a good choice as the market stands today.
