Answer» I have an Intel Pentium 4 540J, 3200 MHz (16 x 200) processor. I just yesterday applied articsilver 5 on it. The idle temperature dropped about 2 or 3 degrees. My CURRENT idle temperature is around 53-54c. and my load is around 65 to 67c at the most. do you guys think this is normal or too HIGH. If so what what HEATSINK do you guys recommend. I also have a question on my hard drives. their temperature is 37c on both of them. Is this acceptable? Processor temp - see here.
Hdd temp specs - can't be specific with knowing the manufacturer/model but a Seagate drive is mentioned here.
Seems like your processor temp is borderline hot while your hdd temps could be well within spec.
Good luck.thanks for the pages. well I guess I'll buy a different heatsink for the processor. I have heard of peoples computers shutting down due to overheating of the processor, but I have never had that problem. well at least not yet, and I better do something before it does STUFF like that.
