Solve : CPU Dual core dilemma?? |
|
Answer» Ok here's another one Upgrade to a am2 or am2+ cpu and motherboard and you will see a great improvement. sure, upgrading would probably solve the PROBLEM. but the computer that Dougthedog has might just do well enough for his purposes if it gets FIXED and don't have to spend the $$ on the new processor if he doesn't have to.Not to mention the issue is probably a software issue, so replacing the CPU is just trying to sidestep the problem. Use a program called Process explorer to find out whats actually using up all your Cycles .. i had this problem before it was my Wireless network card Drivers were causing many Extra HARDWARE interrupts to fire using 50 - 90% of one core http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspxThx everyone I've decided to buy myself any Mobo.
