Answer» I am thinking of buying a computer system off a friend. It is a Compaq SFF with 512mb ram and 80gb hdd, HOWEVER it only has a 1ghz Pentium III-1000 CPU and i would LIKE a faster processor. What processors can i upgrade to?Those name brand computers are not meant to be upgraded. You GET what you get and that's PRETTY much it. It should do GREAT for anything except extreme gaming however.hmm ok thanks. I have a system i bought from someone who builds them himself. It has an AMD Athlon 1.8ghz processor with 256mb ram and a 40 gig hdd so i might just upgrade that then. thanks againA self built would certainly be infinitely easier to upgrade, repair, etc. A SFF has limited capabilities for both, beyond just being a proprietary build.
