Answer» Hey everyone Is Task Manager showing 100% CPU Usage? Have you looked at it to see exactly what process is the cause of this? How many processes are running right after startup?I haven't installed my motherboard drivers....... because i get plenty of errors when i do that ... ive forgot what these errors where exactly but they dont want to install .....there are only the necessary programs that run on start up aka ccleaner and msn / my tiscali modem ..... there doesnt seem to be any errors in device manger everything in there seems 100% normal ...... Had to MODIFY .... yes the task manger shows 100% all the time ... Did you just let Windows find drivers? It's common to have some unknow devices appear in Device Manager if you haven't installed all necessary drivers and your approach does not seem to satisfy the requirement of getting all drivers installed. Look in your Processes tab of Device Manager. Exactly what process(es) are using CPU resources?Heres a little look : *censored* thing ... i think there should be a law Tony = computer = prison Tony Im just installing all drivers just so i can rule it out of causing this..... i should have done this anyway.... so my bad..... Tony So, your Task Manager shows avp.exe as using 83% of your CPU resources. Do you have Kaspersky Internet Security Suite installed? If not, see this: http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/avp/ Ah, I just took another look at your Task Manager and see that avp.exe appears twice. That looks suspicious; one of them is likely a trojan. Did you get on the Internet with that computer without firewall protection? |
