Answer» Hi everyone, I have a CPU which should be running at 3.0GHz but only runs at 1.8GHz Here are the specs Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 @ 3.0GHz 2GB RAM Zotac 8600GT 512MB DDR2 P5GC-MX Motherboard I updated the BIOS, and checked in the BIOS for the ability to overclock it but it wasn't there. So if I could get help making my CPUs run at its 3.0GHz speed instead of 1.8GHz it'd be nice.What utility is REPORTING that speed ? ? If it's Windows it's not ALWAYS accurate... This is not entirely true. While at idle cpu-z will only show about half the core speed but with the cpu running at 100% cpu-z will show the full speed.
