hi, i have a question i have a ATI sapphire HD3870 graphics card.
If i get 1 more i can crossfire and what crossfire does??
give me more FPS ON GAMES
example i play a game with everyhing on hight but somethimes its slow.
If i crossfire i wiill get more FPS?? and the game will be mutch faster like doble FPS??

andyCrossfire basically links the two cards together. Be aware that getting a second card will NOT make it twice as fast. The scaling from 1 to 2 cards is not 100%, it is around 60% with two cards(according to this : http://www.legitreviews.com/article/605/1/).

Some motherboards do not support crossfire, so before making the purchase confirm that your motherboard is expandable. If you are unsure post the make/model/name of your motherboard and I'd be happy to tell you. You may also want to confirm that your PSU has enough power to be stable with ANOTHER card.

The performance difference will also depend on the resolution you are playing at. If you are gaming at a resolution such as 1024x768 your framerate is likely to be more effected by your CPU rather than your GPU(s). At higher resolutions you would probably be SEEING a bigger increase when adding a second card though.

No. Graphics running in Crossfire will be an increase in performance. But not twice, only about 50% to 70% increase. EVERYTHING told so far is CORRECT. I just want to add that you need to make shure your power supply can handel 2 gpus also and your motherboard too.but just increase on crossfire games on in all games??I don't completely understand your question.

Crossfire will increase performance in most games; i.e. ones that support crossfire. NOT ALL games support crossfire however, but most that don't support it are older games and won't require it. With games that do support crossfire you will see a pretty noticable leap in framerates, as stated above, between a 50 and 70% increase.

If you intend to upgrade to crossfire also be aware that if you buy two different makes of the same card, some clock speeds may vary slightly and crossfire will slow the faster one down to match the speed of the slower one (if that made sense). If you are upgrading verify that your PSU and motherboard are ready for the switch. Often times upgrading to a single card solution will be cheaper than running crossfire if you have to upgrade your motherboard and PSU, just be aware there may be ways to get better bang for your buck.
