Answer» I've turned the brightness up all the way and the image is still too dark. Is there a way to make it brighter or do i NEED a new MONITOR? Is it an older model with a lot of use? It may just be SHOT. If you can adjust it up some, but not enough you could be ready for a new one.LAV: I concur with GX1. Monitors grow darker with CONTINUED use. To make a monitor last longer, try having the setting the Power applet in the Control PANEL to turn off the monitor after it has not been in use for a half hour or so. Keeping the monitor on, even with a screen saver, shortens its life. Doc
