Answer» How do you make a custom 404 error? (You know, when you TRY to go to a page that does not exist, you get a 404, but some pages have custom 404's that are different than the Internet Explorer ones). I use Dreamweaver, if you wanted to know.
(eg of 404: Custom http://www.homestarrunner.com/404errorexample and Regular http://www.u-8hydro.com/404example )Read the words under my picture, then follow the link.It just occured to me before I went to look at my emails that "I should have GOOGLED it first..." and I was going to. I will do that.OK, as soon as I am at a computer with my Web page files, I will try and attempt to complete a custom 404 error. You mean the link I posted? What web server are you using, zylstra555? The answer varies according to the server.I do not have a WEBSERVER. (yet). Other than that, I think it will be GoDaddy.Custom errors HAVE to be picked up at the server end. If GoDaddy's hosting doesn't provide you a means to customise your error pages, you won't be able to. SIMPLE as that. Thanks for all the help!Turns out that GoDaddy has a service that lets you uploada file for a custom 404 error. (Its nearley IMPOSSIBLE to get to their help center) Or, at least I think it will work. (lets all hope so)Excellent. You have your answer. Do come back if you're stuck with anything else.
