Answer» I don't know if this is the best PLACE to post this but I will give it a shot
Background: Girlfriend's pc she uses for work crapped out won't turn on. She has been wanting a new one for a while anyway so we said lets build one. Go to fry's electronics and purchase most of our content (scrapped a couple THINGS from last pc like cables/mouse etc) get HOME spend a few hours piecing it together and can't manage to work out the issue.
Issue represents itself like this. It will POWER on and it just doesn't seem to post. I have rechecked most connections (all the important ones) but I don't seem to get a post at all. I don't know if it has anything to do with liquid cooling the way it SOUNDS (not bad just obviously different from fan cooled) but thats probably neither here nor there.
Specs: -870A-G54 MSI- mother board -Radeon HD 5830- graphics card -AMD Phenom II Black Edition- processor -600 Watt power supply -Sata 80 GB hard drive (I am using it for testing also have tried a cpl others) -DDR3 1600G Dual Channel 4GB Ram (2 sticks 2 gig each)
Please provide suggestions or if you know what the problem is most likely all help is appreciated Are you using liquid cooling?yes i amAre all of the motherboard standoffs in place? Did you apply thermal grease to the cpu?
