Answer» I have a laptop...a hp pavilion ze4700....and wen i turned it on this morning, the screen was black....i can just about see the menu bar at the bottom of the screen but only if i look very closely!! ...literally cant use it as its so dark!! and the screen BRIGHTNESS BUTTONS wont do anything either!! dont know why its done this as it was fine wen i last used it! Can any1 help?? Thanks!Sounds to me LIKE your screen inverter has failed. You'll have to get it repaired, I don't think it's a job you can do yourself. Bad luck. Is it STILL under warranty?the backlight might also be out. as what CALUM said, you will have to get it repaired by a professional.
