Solve : Dark Screen Help!?

A WEEK ago there was weird noise ( like "FFFFFFF" buring sound) coming from near the screen (compuer power button near the connection from display to motherboard) and then it suddenly started blinking and then the screen went black (you can still see the items if you really look well )

I recently replaced my screen inverter but didnt solved the problem...I guess the only other thing it could be is the light bulb... but shouldnt it be the connection between the screen and the motherboard since it is making that weird sound from there? Can it still be the light bulb? The backlight is out.

However, the cause of the sound should be investigated. SOMETHING else may have shorted out causing the backlight to go out. Did you notice any smell or anything?

All the INFORMATION I can find on that laptop is about 4 years old, so I'm assuming yours is out of warranty now.
