Answer» I am going to buy a Motherboard that supports 4 STICKS of DDR2 Memory.
Now the Motherboard runs in Dual CH. and they told me if I install one tick of Memory it will run it in Single CH. MODE.
Now I know that DDR2 meens that it can send and receave Data one every Clock Cycle.
And that is whare the DDR2 comes frome.
So if I install one Stick of DDR2 Memroy and it runs in Single mode like they say does that meen it will not be sending and receaving on every Clock Cycle??
I hope I explained myself if not just ask??Anyone?DDR2 can be run in either dual or single channel mode. Dual channel mode can increase performance, but it rarely has a very measurable impact compared to single channel. However, to ANSWER your question, DDR2 still TRANSFERS data twice every clock cycle whether in dual or signle channel mode - it's jsut that in dual channel mode both sticks can be accessed at the same time.
