I have a 15 month OLD Dell INSPIRON that was working fine yesterday. Today. It will turn on but mouse and KEYBOARD doesn't light up and will not work. 2) When you turn on the system do you hear the hd spin up? Do any lights come on on the computer itself? EXACTLY what HAPPENS when you press the power button?Sorry about the PM. I press the on button and I can hear the drive . The light comes on. The keyboard does not ligh up nor does the mouse work. Monitor gave that messag, no signal from compuetr.That message means the display isn't receiving a signal from the display adapter. It might be because the adapter (video card) isn't receiving power (bad power supply), it might mean the display adapter is shot, it might even mean there's a problem with the motherboard - though the first two are the more likely issues. I'm guessing bad power supply - but of course that's just an educated guess.Thanks Allen I appreciate the info.
