Answer» I went to clear the CMOS and short out the 2 POST on an Asus A7V333 BOARD, Be for I thought to take out the BATTERY, Did I fry my board .......All that come on is the green light on the board , Or did I fry the cmos CHIP? And can I fix it?? Remove all power. Remove the CMOS battery and let it sit hitting the power on button to dissipate any stored energy. While letting it sit travel to the store and get a replacement battery...part # CR2032. Replace the battery and make sure the jumper is in the correct position. Cross your fingers, re-connect everything and power up...
