Answer» Hello everyone.
Is there a setting in DEll's printers that can be used to deactivate/activate 3rd party CARTRIDGES? Remember reading something about a setting somewhere on the printers.Have you read the MANUAL for the printer?Yes, Dell does not offer much help on this. This is were Dell make thier money,. They R not going to offer much. What is the model of the printer?midsail, If you do not find a WAY to use the Dell information to overcome your "deactivation" desires (which THOUGH i do not have a dell printer--but have dealt with this issue on a variety of other printers) and i very much doubt that they will have a way of doing so--then PM me and i will give you a recommendation that has worked for me on other brands. The reason for the PM instead of the post is that it will be a recommendation for a product from a specific retail source (that i am only a user of and have no financial involvement in) and i hesitate to promote a commercial interest on the forums.truenorth
