Solve : dell inspiron 600, no power?

1.	Solve : dell inspiron 600, no power?
Answer» this laptop has no power, the power pack has a no load voltage 0f 19.5 volts, i do get a continunity reading from the back of the power PLUG, however when i install the power pack, the voltage drops to aroud .5 volts, is this plug a common PROBLEM with these, or has the power pack been a problem, I dont see any bad SPOTS on the motherboard, though it is very hard to trace with only .5 volts present. the points are so very small. where can i get a plug, and how MUCH is it. thanks if you can help.By 'power pack', do you mean the battery or the AC adapter?
