Answer» Hey It's been a long time SINCE I have been in here but I need help with my pc again.
My pc will start up (steady green LIGHT) but monitor STAYS (amber) it used to be able to boot up with safe mode but it will not even do that anymore
The RAM has been checked and reseated also checked the motherboard by removing the RAM and turning it on (beeping was HEARD)
I have a new HD that I installed less than a year ago.
I have replaced the CMOS battery
I had checked and updated the Nvidia video card driver
I had even done a windows repair
any other ideas.....
The fact that the light on the display REMAINS amber indicates it is not getting a signal from the video card. Do you hear the fans when you boot the system?yes I hear the fans and the it did boot up a few mins ago but after it started loading it (monitor ) went back to amberTry a different display on your system or try your display on a different system. Sounds like either a bad display or a bad video card.
