Solve : Desktop Keeps Crashing?

My desktops really unstable...it would keep crashing everytime I try to do something with Windows Explorer (COPY, paste, delete, TRANSFER, etc..) then an error message would pop up and i'd have to RESTART my PC to get my desktop working again. it's really irritating!!!! any solutions/Windows version, computer info, and EXACT error message needed.Microsoft Windows XP

As for the error message, I still haven't taken note of it since it hasn't happened yet. But, the error message looks like the kind where Windows ASKS you to send or not send error info. After that, the Dr. Watson POSTMORTEM Debugger pops up showing a similiar error message tooWell, since it happens whenever
