Answer» My HP DESKTOP monitor goes black when I TURN on the computer...a small SCREEN comes up saying the monitor is off and then it goes black before I can do anything...is my monitor out? or is something else going on? I don't have another computer I can hook it up to to test it. Any ideas?You are gonna have to test it with a different video CARD or computer. Check all connections to the DISPLAY and to the video card.
