Solve : Different Power Problem? |

Answer» I have (had) an EMACHINE T1842 with XP for a few years now. A few months ago, I powered it down (via windows shutdown) before I went to work, assuming it would be off when I got home. However, when I returned home later the PC was still on and the hard drive light was rapidly flashing and the bumping noises could be heard. I pressed the button to shut it off, waited a few minutes, and restarted it. It did the same thing, so I tried a third time. This time it would not power up at all - no lights, no nothing. The only thing I added to it was 1g of memory several months before this incident. In you guys' oppinion, should I replace (1) the battery $5 (2) the power supply $25, or (3) the MOTHER board $145? Please consider that I am very frugal with my money nowadays.Start with a power supply,but if you think you can get a good one for $25.00 DONT even try.On a scale of 1to10 Emachines are a 1 |
