Answer» I recently purchased a new harddrive, reinstalled windows,INSTALLED all program and hardware updates and this time i am unable to switch my monitor over to DIGITAL. There is a option in the monitor menu and it lets me move it to digital but does not stay. Viewsonic has been no help. Hopefully SOMEONE here can. ThanksI need more info. What monitor? What graphics card? Are you using DVI? What exactly happens when you connect the monitor - does it connect via the analog connection?the monitor is a viewsonic vx2025wm. Video card is a geforce 8800gts yes i am using DVI. My monitor WORKED great before I reinstalled windows on the new harddrive. Now it only allows a analog signal. The monitor settings on the monitor allow a switch to digital but it does not take.If it worked well with you older copy of Windows XP, then it's a software problem. Go to nVidia's SITE and download the newest drivers.
