Answer» Hey everyone,
Im running 64bit windows 7 with directx 11. I have an i7-2700K CPU 3.50GHz and 8GB RAM. As you may be aware that particular PROCESSOR has integrated graphics. I have a SEPARATE graphics card - a Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7870. My issue is that when I boot my computer an alert BOX comes up. "The catalyst control center is not supported by your enabled graphics adapter. Please update your amd graphics driver, or enable your amd adaptor using the displays manager." I am positive I have the most up to date drivers available for both the intel and amd graphics. When I try and open Diablo 2 on direct3D it comes up with "error 25: a critical error has occured while initializing Direct3D" and a similar error (error 22) if I try with Direct Draw. If I go to dxdiag like most places have suggested, the following info is there: (Display) Device Name: Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000 Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip Type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family DAC Type: Internal Approx. Total Memory: 1696 MB Current Display Mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz) Monitor: Generic PnP Monitor
DirectX Features DirectDraw Acceleration: Enabled Direct3D Acceleration: Enabled AGP TEXTURE Acceleration: Enabled
- There are no Disable or Enable buttons like some websites suggest using. - I'm under the impression my DXDiag should have my Radeon as the display device, not the intel but am unsure how to go about changing this.I might mention that I can play MineCraft without problems.
