I decided it was about time to do a good clean out of the the computer so after REMOVING all unwanted programs and software, i started to put some old pictures and movies onto disks. After making a few disks the program stopped working (sonic Record now) and i had to REBOOT. After the reboot i could not make any more cds and the drives will not read any disks, nor do they appear in My computer. I restored the computer back to when i knew it would read cds but still wont read them.
What have i done and what can i do to make it work again.

Note: i have 2 disk drives one dvd and one cd rw drive and neither workThose CD/DVD's may not be finalised...if not they can't be read normally.
DLoad and install the ISOBuster trial version and see if you can see the data...
If so you can extract the data to your hard drive and re-burn them without loss.

CDBurnerXPro is a fine burning program and is FREE.

I REMOVE Sonic from wherever i see it....but that's just me.if your a tech TYPE what you can try is differnt molex power connectors to it. Just something to try maybe reseting will work.
