Answer» hey there, im trying to SET up my old computer again but started having problems. when i first dragged it out of my basement, the first time it booted was fine. it loaded on a windows 98 operating system and everything was working fine. then while TAMPERING with it and trying to combine old computer parts to it, i started getting this error: Disk i/o error, replace the disk and press any key I returned all the original hardware to the computer and i still receive this error. anybody knows whats WRONG?Are the drive CABLES inserted correctly? I would start there.At least it's not gonna go RAW on you... Follow GX1_Mans advice and KEEP us posted.
