Answer» "The transmission story is fine, but the correct analogy is that you posted a question about the transmission on a forum where no one can see or examine it without giving any information about the transmission"
* What exactly do u call this?
Quote Computer Identification Manufacturer Gateway , Intel Corp. Model E-4000 Processors (1) x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 7 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2 Motherboard Identification Manufacturer Intel Corporation BIOS GATEWA - 20021016 Product Number D845GRG Memory Identification Number of Slots 2 (1 currently in use) Installed RAM 254MB Maximum RAM 3072MB Front Side Buss 133Mhz J6G1 256MB DIMM 266Mhz (PC2100) Unknown Synchronous
*Point is I tried to GIVE all the info, if there are parts I dont have or u need, JUST TELL ME!
except that you PUT some fluid in it and it didn't work.
* What are u referring to here? What is the "fluid"?
With that wealth of information, being told you need a new transmission is CERTAINLY A solution.
* Of course its a solution, but is it a good one? Put yourself in my position, would u scrap your "transmission" and go buy a new one under the circumstances?
QuoteFinally, I just want an answer to my question. I dont need moderators, or other people defending themselves, or attacking me because i was defending myself. All i would like is an answer. Why dont u just try and answer the question, instead of being so negative? Good thing you don't make the rules.
*What is that supposed to mean? It's funny how you just highlight the parts you want to, and ignore the rest. Please read the context next time.
Quote Idk, maybe a faulty disk b/c when I put in other games it works Did you contact the game manufacturer about a replacement disk? *yes I did, they said they wouldnt send 1. I also have tried to contact their tech support multiple TIMES, but have been put on hold for hours and have not been able to get through. Also I tried e-mails etc, but havn't gotten a reply. Gotta love that tech support
Does it work on other computers? * I have not tried it, as i have no easy access to another comp. But as I said before, it worked fine at first, but later it stopped working, so installing it on another comp wouldnt do much good.
You may have answered your own question or still not given enough information. At this point we don't know which.
*Why would i still be asking for help, if i had already solved the problem and didnt need it?
I am assuming that since this is an expansion pack that you already have the full legal copy of the game installed? Again, we just don't know. *Yes I have a full LEGAL copy of both the original and expansion installed, now u know.
From your original posting:
QuoteI bought this game and it worked fine for a while, but then it just wouldn't load the game. I would put in the disk and the main menu would pop up, I would click on play, the menu would dissapear and nothing would happen. I tried double clicking the shortcut running it from the start menu and other things but it wouldnt work. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it worked fine until a little while ago, then it started to not work again. I would rather not have to uninsatll and reinstall it over and over if there is a real solution to this. Idk, maybe a faulty disk b/c when I put in other games it works. If u need more info about my problem plz ask.
Ps. Be detailed, I'm an idiot.
- *sigh* Again you are just attacking me, there's really no reason for that.
* Seriously now, As I said in my original post, i just need help. You did not add one thing positive or useful, and you did not or have not attempted to help me. In your reply I did not see one iota of helpful advice. You just critisized me, (that seems to be all you are capable of). You seem to have spent more time trying to FIND what info I did not have as opposed to what info I actually did have. All i would like is an answer.
PS. Just try to be positive. Try that CD in another machine...if it does not work it's the CD... Try the CD player itself in another machine...if it does the same thing it is the CD player... Buy another CD player.
