My background on my computer isnt working. I had a picture and i right clicked it and set it to background and my background is just a plain color. and it wont change to the picture i had selected. so i tried another picture and it didnt work either. then i went to my desktop and i rightclicked and i pulled up the properties. and went to display. the only thing there it will let me change is the color.

How can i get it to let me not have a plain background?Does anyone know what to do?

Thanks.please take a screen shot of your display properties, just remember to censor any senstive information before posting it. i would like to see what you mean by it not letting you change your background.like when i go to the display settings, it will only let me change the color of the background; its wont let me click anything else besides color.

just a small question, have you been EDITING the registry?i dont know what editing the registry means... could you tell me?

and i dont think its a virus becaus i have anti virus running and i RUN scans dailyplease download and run hijack this, then post the log here.

you can get hijack this hereI had this exact same problem pop up on one of my machines. I believe the problem was related to Active Desktop, or some convolution of that web-based stuff. It HAPPENED after I installed Plus! for Windows XP. If it's not that, it's probably just a renegade program that CHANGED a policy in the registry.
