Answer» I BOUGHT a new ASUS motherboard. I have three fan connection PLUG in's. The CPU is ok and the CHASSIS fan one is ok, but what about the POWER fan connector. All it does I BELIEVE is measure the speed of the Power Supply Fan.
I have a device I found is my miscellanous collection that on one end is a 3 prong plug in with a black and red wire going to it, with one not connected. The black and red wire go back to a 4 prong power connector . The red goes to a yellow wire(I believe is 12V) and the black to black(I believe is ground). Is this the correct connector to use just to measure fan speed or is it even necessary?
What ASUS MBoard ? ? They make quite a few DIFFERENT ones...
