Answer» Almost nobody has RDRAM memory in their PC. I have it in one of my PCs. Do you?I've never seen RDRAM for real, and I've only seen people say they have a machine with it a handful of times. On Amazon.com, it is only $5 for a NEW 128MB memory stick (Or at least on May 22, 2009). The URL is http://www.amazon.com/Generic-128-RAMBUS-RIMM-Memory/dp/B000068IL3/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1247598566&sr=1-2 but my memory was grey.I've seen quite a few older PCs with RDRAM. Upgrading their RAM can be a pain:
1) The STUFF's expensive (usually--thanks Neelchauhan for the link to cheap RDRAM!) 2) It has to be used in pairs. Unlike DDR(1/2/3) RAM, which CAN be used in pairs/threes to ENHANCE performance (Dual-Channel or Tri-Channel), RDRAM will not function on an odd number of RIMMs. 3) The unused slots have to have TERMINATORS in them.4) it's patented. And is NOT an industry STANDARD.
