Solve : Do you have problem remembering username and password??

Answer»

and then the keyboard breaks and you have to take out the CMOS battery... That's not completely true...

It may be, if you forget your login to Windows password, however...that's one password I have a tendency to remember...and will NEVER forget.

If the reader breaks...I simply type in the password. If the keyboard breaks...I just grab another keyboard and type in the password.
if the password is forgotten and the keyboard breaks?
and the battery implodes?
then what?
lol probably time for a new MOBO >.
We can always count on you...always the "optimist".too right
you spelt it wrong though.. How about if the fingerprint reader goes belly-up?
happened to me and I had a nightmare trying to log in, the security to prevent people disabling it worked against me.
The fact that I was able to remove the fingerprint check is both good and bad - good, if I hadn't been able to I would not be able to use my PC - bad, a thief could do the same.I'm the only user on my computer...

The only password I have to remember is my Windows login.

If the reader goes "belly-up", I can still log into Windows. From there, I can uninstall the software that came with the reader....thus disabling the reader.

If I were to allow anyone else to use the computer, the reader would work for them as well, however, the other USERS would be setup with Limited accounts...so there is no reason to program the reader in order to prevent anyone from changing its settings. They can't.

If it happens to take a dump...no PROBLEM...I still KNOW my pasword and can bypass the reader at anytime by simply typing in the appropriate USERNAME and/or password.

I just replace the reader.I guess I just had a cheap reader then . . . no simple way to bypass it to log on with a password, as it replaced the Windows login screen.
Uninstalling the software required a fingerprint too, which was why it was so hard to remove when it wouldn't recognize my prints.DigitalPersona Password Manager is the software that came with the reader. Great program.
