Solve : Dos Startup Sequence? |
|
Answer» i'm fixing this OLD computer up, and since some input devices are currently in need of REPLACING, i figured i'd throw the hd in to this compy (pentium 3 755mhz) and get all the stuff i need on there, on there. im putting MS-DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11 on here, and all was going fine untill i installed dos. it told me to reset without any disks in the drives and it'd boot from the hd. it didnt. i checked bios, everything was set up rite, so i tried it again, but it got stuck where it WOULD normally read the boot device, be it the floppy or cd, or c:\. started up windows xp with the other hd as a slave, and it accessed it fine, and if i boot up with a ms-dos boot DISK, it is easily accessable. |
