Solve : Drive D?

Answer»

As I have posted before, I have an eMachine 3400W desktop computer. I look under my computer on my desktop and the memory is low on my D drive, which was the secondary HARD drive install in the computer factory set. But I also noticed when I installed ANOTHER hard drive into the computer, there was actually only one hd so I'm thinking it's in with the c drive as well. Anyway, the capacity is 3.29 GB but free space is459 MB. MEANWHILE I can't save files onto it or even open it as it's the recovery partiation. I have ran disk clean up, defragmentation, and it says there is no files in it. My question is why is the memory going down in it, and would I be able to format it safely? Thank you very much. It's a hidden recovery partition and is best left alone...
It's not there to have files saved to it.I know not to save files on it, which I haven't. I just want to know why the used portion is low and making there only 459 MB of the 3 GB unsued. What could be the problem with it?That's how it's set up...Free space on a disk or partition is only to be used by saving files to it.  As yours is the recovery partition, you don't really need any free space in it at all, it just needs to be as BIG as the data it uses.  Yes, your D drive is a partition of the one drive and C is most likely the remaining space.  If you don't have a recovery disk, don't mess with this data or you'll lose the option of RETURNING the computer back to factory specs.  There is no problem with this partition.
