Answer» I've got and older COMPUTER im trying to get running again but every time i try to turn it on it says diskette drive 0 seek failure press F1 to retry boot or F2 to enter SETUP. if i press F1 the same message comes up instantly. i went into the BIOS and everything is setup perfectly. can anyone please help me with this issue thanksdiskette drive 0 seek failure means floppy disk drive is not enabled in BIOS or is enabled but disconnected.

What OS is installed?Diskette drive, (A drive), fault will occur regardless of how many hard drives you have installed.Solved...it had ME on it. This isnt the first time i've brought it out and tried to fix it i did have the xp starting to install on it. but that froze and ever since then its given me this error and its the disk drive error not the diskette drive error sorry about the mistakeHave you now solved the problem?That the problem having winme on it..........is this a compaq pc.....no i havent fixed the prob and no it isnt a compack*Stolen from Computer_Commando* disk drive 0 seek failure means hard disk drive is not enabled in BIOS or is enabled but disconnected. It could also be dead. Recheck bios. Recheck cable connections.Is this a microsoft pc.......... |
