Solve : Dropped Computer, Running "Lag-Like"?

Answer»

So I dropped my laptop recently. When I dropped it, it had turned off. I started it up, and I noticed that it was starting up very slowly. Everything seems "laggy": Sound, programs starting and running, mouse pointer. I figured that there must be something wrong inside. On a whim, I decided to do a system restore to the previous day, and my laptop began running smothely. So a few days passed, and it began to running slowly again, and I tried another system restore. Well this time, my laptop contiued to RUN slowly.

I don't KNOW much about hardware, and I'm a bit afraid of opening my laptop without doing harm, but does anyone know what the PROBLEM may be and if there is anything I can do to fix it? If there is a hardware problem, would anyone happen to know of a price range on repairs depending on the problem? Thanks. How hard did you drop it ....

If you dropped it hard something has most likely come loose.... if you don't want to check it yourself FIND a trust worthy computer shop and watch over as the computer expert as he/or she takes a closer look..... or have a look yourself and see if anything has come loose.....

It dropped about 3-4 feet I wouls say, from me tripping over the power cord, so somewhat hard. I had a friend who opened my computer once because I THOUGHT there was somthing wrong with it, so maybe I'll give it a shot. I'll probably get him to look at it once he's in town, but if I do happen to see anything loose or broken I may just find a computer shop. Thanks!
