Solve : Dual monitor resolution problem?

Answer»

Hi, I have a user who just GOT a new Dell laptop. He also has a 21 in monitor. I am trying to get him setup with dual display which works. He WANTS the same display on both monitors but I cannot get the resolution to work independently on each. I have tried using nvidia control panel and the Windows display SETTINGS to adjust but when I change the resolution so it looks clear on the external monitor the laptop screen is just a blank desktop. No icons, taskbar or anything.Press the Function key on the keyboard and the key that switches your display.

I.e. FN + F7.

To change the resolution on the second monitor, you must change it on the primary monitor too.Have a look at Professor Messers' session on video displays

The 16:00 minute mark starts dual displays.....

THere doesn't seem to be a way to Seek in that video. 16 minutes is a long wait. Carbon....there's a very small counter on the bottom left corner of the video by the play button....drag the bar. That tells you what time you're at. You cannot move the seeker to go to 16:00.

However I just realised that, when the entire video has buffered, you can move it to 16:00.Yup, I'm on cable ...it LOADS  instantly....no buffering. Quote from: Karnac on May 09, 2009, 08:59:53 AM
