Answer» hi IVE got a DVD burner on my computer its the same from when i bought my computer but a while ago the burner stoped working and now windows media player is saying there is no burner at all but is says connect a burner. also when i insert a blank disk it comes up with a dialog box saying "D:/ is in accessible Incorrect FUNCTION" but it will still READ music cds i just cant burn any. any support would be helpfull thanksIf it's over 3 or 4 years old it may have failed... Best way to test this is swap it into another working Desktop machine...Did you try different reading/burning program?This computer was PUT in a wardrobe because it did not work and it was in there for the best part of a year or two and i found it opend it up and found out the problem(loose power cable) and so ive now got it and i have had it for about 2-3 years and i havent used the burner (exsept for reading a disk but not for burning one) DLoad; install and try CDBurnerXPro...FREE
