Answer» Recently had windows xp REINSTALLED on my pc since then my dvd/cdrom DRIVE isn't working. Purchased a NEW ONE and same problem. According to the device manager there is a yellow ! .Click on that and i get a message saying Windows successfully installed device driver for this hardware ,but cannot find hardware device [code 41] tried troubleshooting and all i get is a blank screen. When i first turned my pc on after connecting the new dvd/cd rom drive a bubble appeared on my toolbar saying new hardware been found installed etc? any help would be fantastic Have you tried to download and run 'Guided Help' ? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060I cant get online from that pc as i have to reinstall aol Why don't you download it and make a copy to run on your computer? You can find it Here if you happened to miss it. '314060.exe' is the file name.
