I get the FOLLOWING message when I try to copy a DVD using Sonic Record Now.
"Please insert a blank or rewritable DVD into the _NEC DVD+RW (E:) drive"

The blank DVD is new, and I've tried 2 other brands.
The DVD I want to copy will play without any problem.
Tried to drag & drop and get same message.

What burning software are you using?

No copyrighted material. My daughters wedding from this past weekend.
First time to copy DVD.
I did copy all the pics to a CD from hard drive yesterday without any problem.
The DVD I want to copy was CREATED on a VHS > DVD recorder.

The DVD will play on other DVD playes and on the Dell, its just when I try to make the extra copies
that the drive ejects and will not accept a blank disc.

Im using "Sonic Record Now" to copy, but the copy to DVD is ejected with the message Insert Blank.I've never used Sonic, but most of those preloaded programs are just throways. If you get Nero it will do it readily.

By the way, congratulations! Have you tried to use a imaging program such as clone CD or alchool 120%? You can download a trial of CLONECD herehttp://static.slysoft.com/SetupCloneCD.exe. You may also try Nero burning ROM or Nero Express , avaible herehttp://ftp://ftp5.use.nero.com/software/nero7/Nero-7.2.3.2b_eng_no_yt.exe.Issue resolved. System list drive as DVD/CD-RW, but the disc has to be DVD+RW. .
