Solve : DVD drive and HD on same IDE cable?

Answer»

Hey, I am setting up my new computer and want to stick my old IDE hard drive in for storage. My current drive that has Windows that I boot from is on a SATA drive. My motherboard only has 1 IDE slot, so I want to have my DVD drive and IDE storage HD on the same IDE cable. How do I go about doing this?IF the DVD drive is writable AND the HD is for storage only, make the DVD the master and the HD the SLAVE. Otherwise, it doesn't MATTER which is master or slave. They are set with JUMPERS at the back of the drives.I just got it to work and thats what I ended up doing. Thanks anyways.
