Answer» Ive added an additional DVD drive to my PC, but i THINK i've made a boo boo. Both of the DRIVES on the Cable SELECT switch and the new drive has been recognised but does not work. I'm running Windows XP. I've got a feeling that one should be set to Master and other to Slave, but i'm totally unsure and don't want to take the case off again until i'm 100%. Has any-one any advice??I make the primary drive (burner) the master and the copy drive or dvd drive a slave. Primary is the top drive in my boxes. Cable select should be fine also.To TRY it master and slave the drive at the end of the RIBBON should be master with the one in the middle connector set as slave... Many burners do not like cable-select.
