Solve : DVD Drive only reads some discs? |

Answer» OK, I have a had a problem for a while now with my disc drive, it only reads some discs. For example, if i were to PUT in my DooM 3 game disc in DVD drive it would run perfectly normal... but if i were to put in another game in like Enemy Territory Quake Wars, the DVD drive doesn't budge, and the weird thing is that it used to WORK! I've tried starting all of my games from "My COMPUTER" after nothing comes up on Auto-play. When i DOUBLE click or right click and click "open" it says that i need to insert a disc into the disc drive??? I just spent about $90 upgrading my computer's graphics so that i could actually play my games so it would be great help if someone could tell me how to fix this problem. Swap the drive into another machine and see if it does the same thing...if so the drive is getting ready to fail. |
