Hello,

I have a Sony Dual RW Dual Layer DVD drive. Lately, each time that I PUT a DVD into the drive, my computer freezes. Any ideas?

I built my own computer. It has a P4 processor and an XP Pro operating system.

MaryWhat motherboard, how much RAM, do you have all of the service packs and updates, what kids of drives and how are they CONFIGURED? Has it ever worked right with this drive? How old a drive is it? What have you tried so far? How does it show in DEVICE manager? Can it READ discs - CD and DVD?

Just a few details that could be helpful.
