Answer» Hey, I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows how to GET it fixed. When I press eject for my DVD writer, the door does not open. I can HEAR it try to open it and then the drive reads whatever is INSIDE, which is nothing. Can anyone help!?Mike W. There should be a small hole just below the door on the drive........straight oout a paperclip and carefully insert in into the hole ....then you should be able to manual open the drive . dl65 also right click it from MY Computer and select eject Cheers.It's also possible that the face plate is blocking the drive from opening. Try removing it to see if the drive will open that WAY.
