Solve : eMachines Laptop RAM?

Answer»

I just bought an eMachines laptop model eMD620-5777. I would like to UPGRADE from 1 Gig to 2 Gigs. I have been to Crucial's site & Kingston's site and neither of them have this laptop listed. How can I find out what kind of RAM I need? I've opened the back panel and taken down the number that was on the back of the RAM stick and entered it in Google. Nothing came up. Can anyone help? If you need additional information, please LET me know. (This is the laptop listed on Best Buy's site on sale for $299.) Here is the link:

Any help is really appreciated! Thanks. Why not run the Online Scan at Crucial ? ?
eMachines use a BUNCH of different MBoards even on the same model # and the MBoard info is the most important when selecting RAM...SORRY, I forgot to say that I tried that but it said it could not DETECT my model. It knew I had two spots to put RAM in, but it couldn't detect what kind I had and wanted me to manually put in the model of laptop. I ended up emailing eMachines and they told me what kind of RAM I should get. I believe I found the kind of RAM I need on Kingston's site for $12.00! Now I'll just have to wait for it to come and see if it is right. I'll let you know.
